digital imaging
A digital image may be captured directly from a physical scene by a (digital) still or video camera or similar device. Alternatively, it may be obtained from another image in an analog medium, such as photographs, photographic film, printed paper, or image scans. The shift from chemical reaction of silver compounds caused by controlled exposure to light - (analogue photography) - to a binary electronic translation of reflected light into binary language of computer programs has led to 'virtual' visual documentations - minus the 'hard copy'. A current issue for digital imaging is the integrity of an image. ArtZone produces most of its own original media content (both analogue and digital) so we can assure there are no copyright infringements. Whenever we need to commission we credit all originators (artist/authors)* and have a royalty system. We are also 'up front' about any photo manipulation or alteration that may have occurred. We also have secure storage and back up systems that digital Imaging requires.
